AI agent development services for agents that ask first
A good agent reads the record, suggests the next move and waits for your yes.
We build AI / SI agents that work inside your own Zoho apps and AWS account. Our Glendale-led team picks one job worth handing over, lists exactly which tools the agent may touch, builds it on Zia, Zoho MCP, Zoho Catalyst or Amazon Bedrock, and tests it on your real records.

01The short answer
What is AI agent development?
It is building software that reads your business data, decides on a next step and carries it out with tools you allow. A chatbot only talks; an agent looks things up, drafts and updates records, and hands risky moves to a person.
Most of the work is not the model. It is choosing the job, feeding it clean records, limiting what it can change and proving it behaves.
- Reps skip the follow-upsDeals go quiet because chasing is dull. An agent spots them and drafts the nudge.
- Support drowns in repeat questionsThe answers sit in your help articles. An agent drafts replies for your team to send.
- Paper still gets retypedInvoices and PDFs keyed in by hand. An agent reads them into Zoho for someone to check.
- You tried a chatbot and stoppedIt could not see your data. The fix is access to the right records, with limits.

03One morning, seven project steps
How does an AI agent project run with us?
On our standard new project track. Below, a sales rep works with a finished agent; each part of the chat traces back to the step that shaped it. Scroll for the next messages and the step behind them.
- 8:40 am
- Sales repMorning. What needs me first today?
- AgentThree deals have had no reply in a week. The clinic group renewal is the largest.
- Approval note Read-only. Quiet deals were the job picked on the first call.
- Sales repWhy that one first?
- AgentTheir quote runs out Friday, and their last email asked about two more sites.
- Approval note It reads the signals your reps named in mapping.
- AgentI drafted a follow-up and a five-location quote.
- Approval note Only Zoho CRM and Zoho Mail are in scope.
- Sales repSend the email. Hold the quote, I want to check the discount.
- AgentEmail sent. The quote waits for your approval.
- Approval note Template emails go after one tap. Any price change waits for a person.
- 10:15 am
- AgentThey want a call Thursday. You are free at 11 and 2.
- Sales repBook the 2 pm.
- Approval note It books once the rep picks the time.
- Sales repIs all of this on the deal?
- AgentYes. Email, booking and held quote, each with who approved it.
- Approval note Every tool call is logged with the person who said yes.
- Sales repApprove the quote at 8% off.
- AgentUpdated and sent. I will check for their answer tomorrow at 9.
- Approval note The rep approved the discount. The agent only carried it out.

Step 1Free · Discovery call
We pick one job worth handing over
Half an hour with Ikramul or Khris about the work your team repeats. The written recap names the first job we would give an agent.
-
Step 2Workflow mapping
We watch the job being done by hand
Our consultant sits with the people who do the task today and notes which records they open and what they look for. That becomes the agent’s reading list.
-
Step 3Scope and budget
Apps, model and running costs on one page
The Zoho apps and AWS services involved, the model, license and usage costs at list price, and our fixed fee. Larger builds may need a paid scoping phase, priced first.
-
Step 4You sign · BRD
Every allowed action, written down
Each tool the agent may call, what needs a person’s approval and the checks that prove it works. Department heads approve their part; the project owner signs.
-
Steps 5 to 9Kickoff, schedule, sprints, build, demos
Built in short sprints you can click through
After kickoff and a dated schedule, we build tool by tool. Every week or two your reviewers see the agent working in your own Zoho account.
-
Step 10You sign · Testing
Tested on your own past records
Our QA runs the test set first, then your users try their daily cases. A wrong record or a skipped approval fails. Each department signs off.
-
Steps 11 and 12Training · Go-live and support
Your team learns to say yes, edit or stop
Hands-on sessions by role, then go-live. Our project lead watches the first weeks closely, and you get a named support contact.
Sample thread and roles. The full twelve-stop track is on how we work.
04Try it · use-case picker
Which tools would your agent run on?
Pick the job you would hand over first to see where the agent usually lives, which model it uses and where a person stays in charge. A sketch; your scope settles the real stack.

05Build or switch on
Should you use a Zia agent or have one custom-built?
Use what Zoho already ships when the job stays inside Zoho. Go custom when the agent must reach other systems or follow rules Zia cannot express.
06Where people stay in charge
Which agent actions should wait for a person’s approval?
Anything that spends money, changes a price or speaks to a customer for you starts with an approval. Low-risk lookups run alone.
Looking up a record or a help article
Reading changes nothing, so it runs freely within the records that user may see.
Approvals here teach people to click yes without reading.
Tagging or routing an incoming ticket
Wrong tags are cheap to fix and the log shows each one.
Worth a check in the first weeks only.
Emailing a customer
Fine for a fixed template, such as a booking confirmation.
Anything the agent wrote itself is a draft until a person presses send.
Changing a price, discount or invoice
Never on its own. Money stays with the people who answer for it.
The agent prepares the change and shows why; a named person approves.
Deleting or merging records
Usually left off the tool list, so it cannot happen by mistake.
If merges are in scope, the agent proposes pairs and your admin confirms.
Updating a field from call notes
Safe for low-stakes fields like the next call date.
Stage, amount and close date stay a rep’s call.
07What you pay for
What does AI agent development cost?
Our build is one fixed price, written into a signed BRD. Running costs are paid to the vendors directly, so you see what the agent costs to keep on.
The first call
We talk through the job you want handed over and send a written recap.
Building the agent
Mapping, build, testing and training as one fee inside the BRD. New tools later are quoted first.
Model and cloud usage
Billed to your own account by OpenAI, Anthropic or AWS, based on how much the agent reads and writes.
Zoho licenses
Zia comes with certain Zoho editions, and Zoho lists MCP with no extra charge beyond your plan’s API limits. Anything else is at Zoho’s US list price.
After go-live, care for the agent can sit on a support plan agreed in writing.
08Around the agent

09Agent questions
AI agent development questions from US teams
Safety, data, models and cost. Bring one example of the job you want handed over.
What is an AI agent in business software?
Software that reads your data, decides on a next step and uses tools you allow, such as searching Zoho CRM, drafting an email or creating a task. Because it can act, every agent we build gets a written list of allowed tools and approval points.
How much does it cost to build an AI agent?
The first call is free. Building the agent is one fixed price written into a signed BRD, which covers mapping, build, testing and training. Model and cloud usage is billed to your own account by the vendor.
Is our data safe with an AI agent?
The agent only sees the records its tools allow, usually with each user’s own Zoho access. When documents must not leave your cloud, the model runs through Amazon Bedrock in your own AWS account. Every tool call is logged.
Which AI models do you build agents on?
OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini and open models through Amazon Bedrock, plus Zoho’s own Zia LLM. We pick per job after testing a shortlist on your records, and you can switch later because tools and approvals sit apart from the model.
Should we start with Zoho Zia or a custom agent?
If the job lives inside Zoho CRM, Desk or Analytics and your edition includes Zia, start there; it is the quickest route. Go custom on Zoho MCP, Catalyst or AWS when the agent must reach other systems.
Can an agent work in Claude or ChatGPT instead of inside Zoho?
Yes. Through Zoho MCP, a rep can ask Claude or ChatGPT to search deals or create tasks, and the agent acts with that rep’s own Zoho access. We set up the server and choose which tools are on.
What is SI?
SI stands for super intelligence. In September 2026 a US executive order asked federal agencies to use “super intelligence” or “SI” in place of “artificial intelligence” in official communications. Most businesses still say AI, so we use both terms.
