Elementor development with templates that stay tidy

Your marketers keep the drag-and-drop editor. The site stops getting heavier every month.

Elementor is a visual page builder for WordPress: a free plugin, plus Elementor Pro for the Theme Builder, forms and popups. Led from Glendale, our team plans the header, footer, post and archive templates, sets their display conditions, trims the widget sprawl that slows older builds down, and sends every form submission on to Zoho CRM.

  • One template per layout, set by conditions
  • Speed checked page by page
  • Form leads posted into Zoho CRM

01Should you build in Elementor?

When is Elementor the right call, and when is it a drag?

Elementor shines when non-developers publish pages every week and want to see the layout while they work. It turns into a burden when nobody owns the templates and every page is a one-off. Here is the honest split we give on first calls.

Pick it when

  • Marketing ships pages without a developerCampaign pages, event pages and offers built from saved sections in an afternoon.
  • Your team already knows itRetraining a whole team on the block editor can cost more than tidying the Elementor setup they use daily.
  • You want headers, footers and post layouts edited visuallyTheme Builder covers that in Pro, with display conditions deciding where each layout appears.
  • Forms and popups should live in one toolPro’s Form widget and Popup Builder replace two or three separate plugins.

Think twice when

  • Every millisecond is a ranking fightA lean block theme starts lighter. Elementor can be fast, but it takes discipline to keep it there.
  • Content is highly structuredHundreds of listings with custom fields often read better as a custom theme or ACF templates.
  • You never want a yearly plugin licencePro renews every year. Let it lapse and you lose Pro updates, plus access to Pro features can become limited.

02Elementor services

What our Elementor developers do for US businesses

New builds, rescues of sites that grew without a plan, and the plumbing between Elementor forms and Zoho. Most engagements mix two of these.

  1. 01

    Theme Builder architecture

We decide how many header, footer, single and archive templates you really need, then wire each one to display conditions so a new blog post or landing page picks up the right layout by itself.

  2. 02

Global styles your editors can’t break

Site-wide colors, typography and spacing set in Site Settings, plus a short kit of saved sections, so the next campaign page matches the brand without anyone eyeballing hex codes.

  3. 03

    Speed cleanups of existing builds

Old section and column layouts moved to Flexbox Containers, duplicate add-on packs removed, fonts served locally and images resized. Each change is measured on staging first.

  4. 04

    Forms, popups and lead routing

Pro forms with spam protection, popups triggered by scroll or exit intent, and each submission posted to Zoho CRM with the page and campaign it came from.

  5. 05

Editor training and a page recipe book

A recorded walkthrough and a short written guide for your team: which template to duplicate, which widgets to avoid, and how to publish without breaking the layout on phones.

03An overgrown Elementor site

What happens when we prune a four-year-old Elementor build?

Picture a home services company whose site grew one page at a time: three add-on widget packs, sections nested five deep, and a homepage hero that loads last. The bars below show a sample of what a cleanup sprint usually changes. Flip between before and after.

Homepage on a mid-range phone · Sample

Before: the hero image waits behind fonts, sliders and three widget libraries.

  1. 1

    Measure, then freeze

Lab and field numbers for the ten busiest pages, a full staging copy, and a rule that nobody edits live while we work.

  2. 2

    Containers in, nesting out

Section, column, inner section layouts rebuilt as Flexbox Containers, which usually cuts the element count by more than half.

  3. 3

    One widget library, not three

Every add-on widget in use gets listed. Most have a native Pro twin; the rest get a small custom widget.

  4. 4

    Assets on a diet

Google Fonts loaded locally, hero image preloaded and sized, sliders below the fold swapped for static images.

  5. 5

    Templates take over

Forty copied headers become one Theme Builder header with conditions, so the next fix happens once.

Illustrative numbers for a sample site, not a client result. Your own before figures come from the first measurement pass.

04Try it · sample site

Which Elementor template shows up on which page?

Theme Builder templates appear wherever their display conditions say. Change the conditions on the left and watch nine sample pages pick their header, body layout and footer. Clashes and gaps get flagged, the way we flag them in a review.

Sample site. On a real project we export your current conditions, list every page type you publish, and fix overlaps before any redesign starts.

    05Elementor and Zoho

How do Elementor forms reach Zoho CRM?

Elementor Pro’s Form widget can run several actions after someone hits submit, and one of them is a webhook. That single setting is the bridge to Zoho. Three setups cover nearly every site we connect.

    1. Pro Form
    2. Webhook
    3. Lead

    Quote requests become CRM leads

The form posts to a Zoho Flow webhook, which adds a lead to Zoho CRM, carrying hidden fields for the page URL and UTM tags, then assigns it by service area.

    1. Popup
    2. Zoho Forms
    3. CRM

Long forms stay in Zoho Forms

Applications with uploads, signatures or payments are built in Zoho Forms and embedded in an Elementor page or popup, so the page design and the form logic each live where they’re easiest to edit.

    1. Site-wide code
    2. SalesIQ
    3. Bookings

Chat and booking on the right pages only

The Zoho SalesIQ chat snippet is added once, and a Zoho Bookings calendar sits on the “Book a visit” template, instead of being pasted into dozens of separate pages.

How much is Elementor Pro in the US?

The core Elementor plugin is free. Pro is sold per year, by the number of sites, and the cheapest plan leaves out features many business sites end up wanting. These are Elementor’s US list prices for the four Pro plans.

    07Elementor questions

Elementor questions from US marketing teams

Speed, plans, Gutenberg, cleanups and what happens to your pages if Pro lapses. Bring the URL of your slowest page to the first call.

What is Elementor, and do I need Elementor Pro?

Elementor is a drag-and-drop page builder plugin for WordPress. The free version lets you design page content visually. Elementor Pro adds the Theme Builder for headers, footers, post and archive layouts, the Form widget, and on Advanced Solo and above the Popup Builder, stored form submissions, custom code and eCommerce widgets. Most business sites we build need Pro.

How much does Elementor Pro cost?

Elementor’s US list prices for Pro are $60 a year for Essential on one site, $84 a year for Advanced Solo on one site, $108 a year for Advanced on three sites and $204 a year for Expert on 25 sites. Prices are billed yearly before tax, and Elementor often runs promotions, so we check the current figure with you before buying.

Is Elementor bad for site speed?

It does not have to be. Slow Elementor sites usually suffer from deeply nested sections, several add-on widget packs, sliders and unoptimized images. Rebuilding layouts with Flexbox Containers, loading fonts locally, removing unused add-ons and sizing images properly often brings a page back into a healthy Core Web Vitals range.

Elementor vs Gutenberg: which should we choose?

Choose Gutenberg when speed and a lean codebase come first and a developer can build custom blocks for you. Choose Elementor when your marketing team already uses it or wants to lay out campaign pages visually without help. We build in both and will tell you which one fits on the first call.

What are Elementor Theme Builder display conditions?

Display conditions tell each Theme Builder template where to appear, for example a header on the entire site, a single post layout on all posts, or an archive layout on category pages. You can include and exclude areas. When two templates claim the same pages, Elementor warns about the conflict, which is why we map conditions before building.

Can you clean up an Elementor site someone else built?

Yes, that is a big share of our Elementor work. We copy the site to staging, list every template, condition and add-on in use, measure the busiest pages, then rebuild the worst layouts with containers and native Pro widgets. The live site only changes once each page passes on staging.

What happens to my pages if Elementor Pro expires?

Anything built with free Elementor widgets keeps working. Without a renewal you stop getting Pro updates and support, you cannot add new Pro widgets, and access to the Pro features already on your pages may become limited. Since headers, footers and forms usually rely on Pro, keep the licence renewed in your own account or plan a move to Gutenberg first.

Can Elementor forms send leads to Zoho CRM?

Yes. An Elementor Pro form can post each submission to a webhook, which we point at Zoho Flow or a small function that creates the lead in Zoho CRM. We pass hidden fields such as the page URL and UTM tags so sales can see which campaign brought the lead in.

Do you build WooCommerce stores in Elementor?

Yes, on Advanced Solo and higher plans, which include Elementor’s eCommerce widgets for product and shop layouts. For stores with many products, filters or subscriptions we often keep the product templates lean and build the marketing pages in Elementor, so checkout stays fast.

How do you price Elementor work?

The first call costs nothing. After that, the templates, display conditions, cleanup scope and any Zoho connection go into a signed BRD at a fixed price with a delivery schedule. A very large site may need a short paid review before we can quote, and we tell you that cost up front.

    08How an Elementor project starts

    Before anyone drags a widget

Four steps turn “our Elementor site feels heavy” into a signed plan. Swapping one header template is something we can usually price while we’re still talking. A big site with years of copied pages gets a brief paid look under the hood first, with that fee agreed in advance.
