Migrate from Microsoft Dynamics 365 to Zoho CRM with a US partner

Every entity gets a home in Zoho CRM before a single record moves.

Your teams keep working in Dynamics while we build Zoho CRM beside it. We map every entity, move the records, rebuild plugins and flows, let each department check a sample, then switch in one planned window.

  • Entity-by-entity map you sign
  • Plugins and flows rebuilt

01The honest inventory

Dynamics 365 to Zoho CRM migration: what moves and what we rebuild

Zoho CRM’s migration tool has a Microsoft Dynamics option that reads CSV files and maps them to modules. Dynamics data usually leaves as a database backup or exported tables, so we convert it to CSV first. Records move; code, flows and security roles get rebuilt.

Moves across

Records and their links

  • Accounts, contacts and leads, with owners matched to Zoho users
  • Opportunities become linked Deals
  • Activities, notes and attachments on the same records
  • Cases and solutions
  • Products, price lists, quotes, orders, invoices and vendors

Moves, but lands differently

Same data, new shape

  • Custom entities become custom modules we create before import
  • Option sets turn into pick lists with the same values
  • Autonumber and formula fields are set up by hand first
  • Only 10 tags per record travel; longer lists become a field
  • Business units become roles and territories

Rebuilt in Zoho

Logic we set up again

  • Plugins and JavaScript rewritten as Deluge functions or client scripts
  • Power Automate flows as workflow rules or Zoho Flow
  • Business process flows as Blueprint
  • Security roles and teams as profiles, roles and sharing rules
  • Dashboards as Zoho CRM reports or Zoho Analytics
  • Outlook and Teams reconnected through Zoho’s add-ins

03Calm, checked, reversible

What keeps a Dynamics 365 migration safe?

Gates. Nothing moves in full until each department has checked its own sample, and Dynamics stays open read-only after go-live, so any record can be compared side by side.

A note from our founders

After 300+ projects since opening in Glendale in 2025, we know Dynamics customers rarely fear the data. They fear the plugin nobody documented, so we list every piece of custom logic before we quote and rebuild it before any record lands.

What if something goes wrong?

A batch of records gets skipped

Zoho reports skips per module; we fix the mapping and re-run.

A department rejects its sample

The full move waits until a corrected sample is signed.

Go-live goes badly

04Dynamics estimator

How big is your Dynamics 365 migration?

Rough numbers are fine. Custom entities and plugins matter more than record counts, because those are what we rebuild by hand.

Where does Dynamics run?

Estimate only, not a quote

Standard Move

  • Three custom entities to create as modules

05One account, five phases

How does a Dynamics 365 account move to Zoho CRM?

Fifteen steps in five phases; seven exist only because this is a migration. Teams stay in Dynamics until cutover. Scroll and the sample account card crosses one phase to the right, collecting a check each time.

07Count back from the renewal

    10Worth the move?

Why Zoho CRM instead of Dynamics 365?

Mostly cost and who can run it. Dynamics still wins for deep Microsoft shops and large custom apps, and we’ll tell you if that’s you.

    1. Price per seat

Zoho CRM$14 to $52 per user per month, yearly.

Dynamics 365$65 to $150 per user per month, yearly.

    2. Who runs it day to day

    11Before you switch

Dynamics 365 to Zoho CRM migration questions

What CRM owners and IT leads ask before leaving Dynamics. Got a plugin you are worried about? Show it to us on a call.

What doesn’t move from Dynamics 365 to Zoho CRM?

Code and configuration stay behind: plugins, scripts, Power Automate flows, business process flows, security roles, forms, views and dashboards. We list each one in the assessment, and you decide which still earn a rebuild in Zoho CRM. Notes, activities and attachments do move, on the same records.

Can Zoho CRM import a Dynamics database backup?

Zoho’s Dynamics migration reads CSV files, while on-premises Dynamics data often comes out as a SQL backup. We convert the backup or exported tables into clean CSV files per entity, then run them through Zoho’s migration tool.

What happens to our custom entities?

Each becomes a custom module, built with its fields and lookups before import. Many-to-many links become multi-select lookups or a linking module.

Is there downtime when we switch from Dynamics?

Very little. Cutover runs after hours or over a weekend, a catch-up pass brings late edits, and Dynamics stays open read-only.

How long does a Dynamics 365 to Zoho CRM migration take?

It depends mostly on custom entities, plugins and the number of departments. Your Migration BRD carries a dated schedule for the sample, the full move and cutover, all set back from a stopper date before your Dynamics term ends.

How much does a Dynamics migration cost?

Each move is a fixed fee under one of three packages: Quick, Standard or Complex Move. The first call is free. Larger Dynamics orgs often start with a paid Migration Assessment, and that payment is credited in full against the migration. The fee is agreed in a signed BRD before work begins.

Who signs off the Dynamics migration?

Each department that works in Dynamics names a point of contact, usually its head. That person signs the Migration BRD and later their sample of migrated records, along with your overall project owner. Every sign-off is recorded.

What happens to our Dynamics 365 subscription after go-live?

It stays open read-only through the rollback window, and we keep a full export. You cancel it only after you confirm the team is settled in Zoho CRM, ideally before the next term renews.
