Zoho CRM
Leads by source and rep, the homeowner’s job, milestone stages and the text-consent log.
Zoho CRM for solar →Residential solar software · Zoho partner · Los Angeles, CA
Roof photos, the signed contract, the city permit and the utility’s letter, all on the job your homeowner keeps asking about.
Our team, led from Glendale, holds Zoho Advanced Partner status. For US rooftop installers we build Zoho around the homeowner, so their survey, paperwork and install day share one record and “where are we?” takes seconds to answer.

01What this page covers
Every home gets one job, from first enquiry to the permission-to-operate letter, holding survey photos, contract, lender documents, permit dates, crew visits and the final invoice. Your design tool still draws the system; Zoho runs the people, paperwork and messages around it.
02Six kinds of rooftop business
It depends on who sells and who climbs the roof. Swipe through the six shapes we meet most.
One job has to survive consultant, permit desk and crew without anyone retyping the address.
CRM · FSM · Creator · BooksYou close the homeowner, an outside crew installs, and you see their progress without chasing texts.
CRM · Creator · SignReroof and solar become linked deals, so the roof is done before panels go up.
CRM · Projects · FSMThe record starts from the panels already on the roof and their inverter.
CRM · Creator · DeskReps add leads from their phones at the door, with the canvass area and the consent given on the doorstep.
CRM · Forms · AnalyticsBranches keep their own crews and AHJs; sales and money roll up to one view.
Zoho One · FSM · Analytics03Heard on first calls
Mostly silence: the job waits on someone outside your office and nobody tells the homeowner. Step through six complaints and their fixes.
One is a draw on purpose: some tools you already own should stay.
Homeowners ring the office, and someone digs through email.
Each milestone sends the homeowner a short update.
The panel label photo is missing, design stalls and a truck goes back.
The survey checklist in Zoho FSM won’t close until every required photo is attached.
One spouse signs, the disclosure goes missing, and the cancel deadline lives in someone’s head.
Every owner on title signs in order, and the job knows when the cancellation window closes.
A spreadsheet tab per city, updated when someone remembers.
A permit queue sorted by days waiting, with correction rounds logged on the job.
The utility letter sits in an inbox; the last invoice waits.
Saving the PTO date drafts the closing invoice so accounts can check it the same day.
Your design tool models shade, layout and production well. Keep it.
Zoho stores the system size and key design fields for sales and ops.
04One home, seven steps
As a text thread between a homeowner and their project coordinator; the yellow notes show the work Zoho does quietly at each point. Keep scrolling and the thread grows one step at a time, or tap a step to jump.
Step 1First question
Behind it in ZohoA web form or chat opens the lead, records text consent and assigns a consultant by area.
Step 2Site survey
Behind it in ZohoA survey visit with a required-photo checklist the surveyor can’t close early.
Step 3Contract signed
Behind it in ZohoZoho Sign mails the packet straight from the job, and install booking stays locked until the cancellation window has passed.
Step 4Financing
Behind it in ZohoLoan, lease or cash sits on the job with the lender’s checklist; once complete, the job moves to permits by itself.
Step 5Permit and utility
Behind it in ZohoA Creator tracker sorts every job by how long the AHJ, HOA or utility has kept it waiting.
Step 6Install days
Behind it in ZohoThe visit carries the parts list and install checklist; photos and the signature come back with the crew.
Step 7Inspection and PTO
Behind it in ZohoThe PTO date drafts the closing invoice, shares the warranty folder and queues a review request.
Sample job and messages. Permit, utility and contract steps differ by city, utility and state.
05Four core apps, six helpers
Four do the heavy lifting: Zoho CRM, Zoho Sign, Zoho FSM and a Creator permit tracker. The rest join when a real need appears.
Leads by source and rep, the homeowner’s job, milestone stages and the text-consent log.

Apps behind these fixes
07Homeowner paperwork
All of it, as records, dates and files on the job. The rules behind each document still belong to your utility, city, lender and advisors.
Zoho tracksThe completed packet, the selling consultant and the cancel deadline.
Stays with youWhich disclosures your state requires, and their wording.
Zoho tracksThe utility application ID, the tariff on the approval, meter dates and the PTO letter.
Stays with youWhat that tariff means for the homeowner’s bill.
Zoho tracksProgram, status, documents sent and reservation dates, for example on an SGIP application.
Stays with youWhether a home qualifies and for how much.
Zoho tracksKey dates, invoices and equipment records the homeowner may ask for.
Stays with the homeownerAny credit claim, made with their own tax advisor.
None of this is legal or tax advice; anything your attorney wants added goes into the BRD.
08Licences, per role
It goes by role: office and sales staff on Zoho CRM and Zoho Sign, crews on Zoho FSM, priced by monthly appointments rather than per technician. Licensing every employee opens up Zoho One.
Zoho’s US list rates on annual billing, plus sales tax, paid to Zoho directly. Our build fee for your rooftop business is fixed once, in the BRD you approve before configuration starts.
09Three ways to start
Start where homeowner complaints are loudest; every later package keeps what the earlier one built.
Lead to signature
Priced once in the BRD, per lead source and template.
Signature to switch-on
Your stages and AHJs are named in the BRD; one fixed fee covers them.
The whole customer life
Split into phases, each with a fixed price you approve before it starts.
We don’t charge for the first call. A multi-branch rollout may begin with paid scoping; you sign off that fee first.
10Getting started
With four steps, before your consultants or crews change a thing.
11Our work
Yes, including for teams outside solar. Intake, support and service on one Zoho record is a shape we have built before, and it is the same one an installer needs.
Our solar clients stay unnamed here, and so do their homeowners. Ask on the call and we will describe a comparable rooftop build with no names attached.
See our case studies →12Installers ask
Design tools, homeowner updates, crews and cost. Ask whatever is missing when we talk.
We usually suggest keeping it, since design tools are built for roof modeling, shade and production estimates. Zoho holds the job around the design: system size and key fields sit on the job, and the signed proposal is filed with it.
Milestones such as survey booked, permit approved, install scheduled and PTO received each send a short email or text. Texts go only to homeowners who agreed to them.
When Zoho Sign completes the contract, the job records when it was signed and the last day to cancel, and install booking can stay locked until then. Your counsel sets the window and the document wording.
Yes. Partner crews get Zoho FSM access for their own visits, or a Zoho Creator portal showing only their jobs. Their photos and sign-offs land on your job record.
It does. The job starts from the existing system, with its inverter and install date, and the battery work follows the same survey, contract, permit and install steps. Incentive filings are tracked as documents and dates.
Four office staff on Zoho CRM Professional at $23 and Zoho Sign Standard at $10, per user a month billed yearly, come to $132 a month. Crews join on a Zoho FSM plan priced by appointments. Our setup work is a fixed price in the signed BRD.
