01Why Zoho Learn
Zoho Learn is a knowledge base and a learning management system (LMS) in one app: SOPs live in manuals, courses point at those same articles, and reports show who read and passed what.
Module 01
Link a knowledge base article into a course as a lesson. When the policy changes, you edit the article and the course carries the new version.
Module 02
The Free plan covers 5 users with courses, quizzes and SCORM. Paid plans start at $0.83 per user a month, billed yearly.
Module 03
SCORM packages from other authoring tools import as lessons on every plan, so existing training doesn’t have to be rebuilt.
Module 04
Passing scores and attempt limits arrive on Express. Professional adds timed quizzes, written assignments you grade by hand, and course expiry.
Module 05
Custom portals carry your logo, colors and URL, public or private. Resellers and customers train there without touching your internal content.
Module 06
On Professional, mark an article as a mandatory read and set verification reminders, so an owner re-checks it on a schedule you choose.
AI help for authors. Zia, Zoho’s AI / SI, drafts an SOP from one prompt, suggests course outlines and writes a first text lesson to edit. Through Zoho MCP, your own AI / SI tools can work with Learn content too.
02One course, piece by piece
We start from your manual, not a blank course, then add lessons, a quiz, the rules and the reporting. Scroll and each step adds one piece to the course on screen.
Step 1Spaces and manuals
We sort policies, how-tos and checklists into spaces and manuals, set who can read and edit, and tidy the articles the course will point at.
Step 2Course shell
The course gets its chapters and a short description, plus a navigation setting so new hires take lessons in order instead of jumping straight to the quiz.
Step 3Lessons
A welcome video, the handbook linked straight from the manual, and your existing security package imported as SCORM. Nothing is copied twice.
Step 4Assessment
Questions sit in a question bank so other courses can reuse them. We set the passing score and the number of attempts you’re comfortable with.
Step 5Course rules
On Professional, lessons can release over time, reminders chase anyone who stalls, and the course can expire so a yearly refresher starts clean.
Step 6Publish and track
The course joins the onboarding learning path. Learners earn a badge and a certificate, and managers see progress by department, with a CSV export for HR.

A learning path new staff start on day one: welcome, handbook, tools, a quiz and a first-week assignment their manager reviews.
Every SOP in one searchable place, with tags and version history.
Mandatory reads, course expiry and reminders, with reports your HR lead can export when someone asks who completed what.
A branded portal where customers learn your product, so support answers fewer “how do I” questions.
A private portal per partner group, quizzes with pass marks, and a certificate when they finish.
Product manuals and pricing rules as short lessons reps take on the mobile app.
05Zoho Learn pricing in the US
Zoho Learn is priced per user. Free covers 5 users. Express is $0.83 per user a month billed yearly ($1 monthly), and Professional is $2.50 ($3 monthly). On Professional the per-user price drops for users beyond 25, 50 and 100. Three quick questions below suggest a plan.
| Zoho Learn plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Courses and manuals | Storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0up to 5 users | $0 | 5 courses, 5 manuals, 2 learning paths | 1 GB in total |
| Express | $0.83per user / month | $1 | 25 courses, 50 manuals, 5 learning paths | 1 GB per user |
| Professional | $2.50per user / month | $3 | Unlimited | 5 GB per user |
Zoho Learn list prices in USD before tax. Portal users for customer or partner academies are an add-on on Express and Professional: $0.50 per portal user a month for the first 100, $0.40 up to 500, $0.30 up to 1,000. Zoho Learn also comes inside Zoho One. Our setup is quoted separately, as a fixed price in a signed BRD that lists every space, course and portal we build.
06Learner cost calculator
Zoho Learn is priced per user. Slide to the number of people who will learn on it and pick a plan. On Professional, Zoho lowers the per-user price past 25, 50 and 100 users, so larger teams pay less than this list-price figure; we confirm the exact amount in your quote. Prices are Zoho’s US list prices in USD, before tax.
07One app or two
Many US companies run a wiki for documents and a separate LMS such as TalentLMS or Docebo for courses. It works, but every policy then lives in two places. Drag each handle to compare.
Edit the article once. Every course that links it as a lesson shows the new version.
Edit the wiki, then remember to update the copy inside the course too.
Mandatory reads and course reports sit in the same app as the content.
Wiki views and course completions live in two reports you merge by hand.
Built for courses you write yourself or import as SCORM.
Some LMS vendors sell libraries of off-the-shelf courses you can switch on.
When another tool fits better: if you mainly want to buy hundreds of ready-made courses, or you need deep e-commerce for selling courses to the public, a dedicated LMS is the better buy. We’ll tell you that before any Zoho Learn work is scoped.
08Zoho Learn migration
Content usually arrives from shared drives, Google Docs, a wiki or an older LMS. We drop what’s stale with your team and rebuild the rest.

10How a Zoho Learn project starts
One onboarding course is often scoped on the first call. A big content clean-up or several portals may need a paid scoping phase, quoted up front.
Zoho Learn projects run online across the US, Canada and Latin America. For a team in Southern California we can run author training in person.

SI stands for super intelligence. In September 2026 a US executive order asked federal agencies to use “super intelligence” or “SI” in place of “artificial intelligence” in official communications. Most businesses still say AI, so we use both terms.
