Plan the sprint, run the board, watch the burndown hit zero on the last day.

From our Glendale office near Los Angeles, we set up Zoho Sprints for US product and engineering teams: boards shaped to how you ship, a clean import from Jira or Trello, Git wired to every work item, and training for the whole team.

  • Scrum and Kanban boards, even on the free plan
  • Burndown, velocity and cycle time reports
  • Commits from GitHub, GitLab and Bitbucket on each item

01Why Zoho Sprints

Why US dev teams look at Zoho Sprints when Jira feels heavy

Zoho Sprints is Zoho’s agile project tool: backlog, sprints, Scrum and Kanban boards, agile reports and timesheets, priced per user from $1 a month. These six points come up in most calls with US engineering leads.

  • Free plan

Three people can run real sprints for $0

The free plan covers 3 users and 3 projects with unlimited work items and sprints, both board types, agile reports and the mobile apps. Enough to run a real sprint before any purchase order.

  • Estimation

    Points get voted, not argued

From Starter up, the Estimation Planner collects everyone’s points vote at once, so the loudest voice doesn’t set the estimate.

  • Reports

Charts a Scrum Master actually opens

Burnup, burndown, velocity, cumulative flow, lead time and cycle time are built in, so every sprint review starts from the same picture.

  • Dev tools

Code changes show on the work item

GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and AWS CodeCommit connect, plus Jenkins for builds. Reviewers see commits without leaving the board.

  • Time

    Timesheets without another app

Starter brings global timers and timesheet reports, so agencies bill sprint hours from the work itself. Elite adds a client portal with 5 free client users.

  • Switching

Jira, Trello and Azure DevOps import

Jira import is on every plan; Starter adds Trello and Azure DevOps. We map fields by hand first, since issue types rarely line up one to one.

It also talks to the rest of Zoho: Zoho Desk tickets become work items, updates land in Zoho Cliq, and delivery data feeds Zoho Analytics. Client projects with phases and invoices sit better in Zoho Projects.

02One user story, start to finish

How one user story moves through Zoho Sprints, backlog to done

Every story in Zoho Sprints takes the same path: backlog, points, sprint, build, review, Done. Here is one sample story and what gets recorded at each stop. Scroll to move the card along the board.

  1. Stage 1 of 6

It starts as a line in the backlog

The product owner writes “As a customer, I can reset my password from the app”, links it to an epic and sets a priority. Grooming the ranked backlog is a drag, not a meeting.

  2. Stage 2 of 6

The team puts points on it

Four developers vote in the Estimation Planner: three, five, five, five. The story gets 5 points and a note on the edge case nobody had spotted.

  3. Stage 3 of 6

It gets pulled into Sprint 14

At planning it is dragged into the sprint. On Premier, sprint capacity planning shows whether the team’s hours still cover everything pulled in.

  4. Stage 4 of 6

A developer picks it up and the timer runs

It gets an owner and a four-item checklist. The global timer logs hours into the timesheet, and blockers surface in the stand-up run from Meetings.

  5. Stage 5 of 6

Code and build show up on the card

Commits that mention SP-118 appear on the work item with the Jenkins build result beside them. The reviewer tests the change and moves the card on.

  6. Stage 6 of 6

    Done, and the burndown drops

The burndown drops 5 points, velocity counts it for Sprint 14, and on Premier it ships in Release 2.3. The retrospective works from the same data.

05Zoho Sprints vs Jira

Zoho Sprints vs Jira, job by job

Jira earns its place with its ecosystem. Zoho Sprints wins on price per seat, built-in time tracking and its link to other Zoho apps. Here are the jobs we hear about most.

  1. Cost per seat for a growing team

Zoho SprintsElite is $2.50 a user billed yearly, with no user cap and unlimited projects.

JiraPaid plans list a higher per-user price; we check it for your seat count.

  2. Add-ons and plugins

Zoho SprintsFocused integrations plus webhooks and APIs.

JiraThe Atlassian Marketplace has an app for almost any niche need.

  3. Timesheets and billable hours

Zoho SprintsTimers, timesheets and reports come in from Starter.

JiraLogs work; full timesheets usually need a marketplace app.

  4. Working with other Zoho apps

Zoho SprintsNative links to Zoho Desk, Cliq, Projects and Analytics.

JiraReaches Zoho through connectors or Zoho Flow.

  5. Very large, multi-team programs

Zoho SprintsReleases, OKRs and custom modules suit mid-size setups.

JiraBuilt for big portfolios, with Confluence alongside.

  6. Showing progress to outside clients

Zoho SprintsA client portal from Elite, with 5 free client users.

JiraPossible, planned around Atlassian’s own licences.

  7. Developers who already know it

Zoho SprintsEasy to learn, but new to most hires.

JiraMany engineers arrive already knowing the screens.

When we say stay on Jira: if your workflow leans on several Marketplace apps, or many teams plan around Confluence, moving rarely pays off. You’ll hear that on the first call.

Moving to Zoho Sprints from Jira, Trello or Azure DevOps

Zoho Sprints has its own importers; our work is the mapping: issue types, statuses and which custom fields still earn their place. We switch over between two sprints, never mid-sprint.

10How a Zoho Sprints project starts

Before the first board, the plan for your Zoho Sprints rollout is written down

Four steps fix what we build and what it costs before any project exists. One team is often scoped on the first call; a move of many Jira projects may need a paid scoping phase, quoted up front.

We run Zoho Sprints rollouts online across the US, Canada and Latin America, and join first sprint planning in person in Southern California.

11Before you switch

Zoho Sprints questions from engineering leads

Short answers on Zoho Sprints pricing, Jira migration, Git integrations and setup. Got one that isn’t here? Bring it to the discovery call.

What is Zoho Sprints?

Zoho Sprints is Zoho’s agile project management tool for software and product teams: backlog, sprint planning, Scrum and Kanban boards, epics, releases, timesheets, meetings and agile reports like burndown and velocity, with links to GitHub, GitLab and Jenkins.

How much does Zoho Sprints cost in the USA?

Free covers 3 users. Starter is $1 a user a month for teams of 12 to 100, billed yearly only. Elite is $2.50 billed yearly or $3 monthly, Premier $5 or $6, and Enterprise $7.50 or $9 per user. Setting up Zoho Sprints with us is quoted on its own, as a fixed price in a signed BRD.

Is Zoho Sprints a good Jira alternative?

For many small and mid-size US teams, yes: boards, agile reports, timesheets and Git links at a lower list price per user. Jira stays stronger if you rely on many Marketplace apps or run a very large program around Confluence.

Can you migrate us from Jira to Zoho Sprints?

Yes. We map issue types, statuses and custom fields, use the built-in Jira importer on one trial project your leads check, then move open items and history and switch over between two sprints.

Does Zoho Sprints integrate with GitHub and GitLab?

Yes. GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps and AWS CodeCommit connect, so commits that mention a work item show on it. Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD add build results.

Can Zoho Sprints plan sprint capacity?

Yes, on Premier and Enterprise. Sprint capacity planning compares the team’s available hours with the work pulled into the sprint, so over-commitment shows up at planning.

How long does a Zoho Sprints setup take?

It depends on the number of teams and projects, what moves from Jira or Trello, and which Git and CI tools we connect. The signed BRD dates each piece, and the switch lands between two sprints.

Do you offer Zoho Sprints training and support after go-live?

Yes. We train Scrum Masters, product owners and developers on their own boards, coach the first sprint, and stay on for new workflows and reports, online or in person in Southern California.

What is SI?

SI stands for super intelligence. In September 2026 a US executive order asked federal agencies to use “super intelligence” or “SI” in place of “artificial intelligence” in official communications. Most businesses still say AI, so we use both terms.
