Hire a Zoho expert for manufacturing who knows the floor

The traveller is paper, the BOM lives in a spreadsheet and nobody can say which station job 1142 is sitting at.

Elite Tech Global gives your plant a certified Zoho expert who sets up and looks after the apps you make things with: Zoho CRM for quotes, Zoho Inventory for items and BOMs, Zoho Creator for work orders and station screens, Zoho Analytics for the morning numbers. Plans start from $300* a month for one Zoho product.

01Heard at the production meeting

Who hires a Zoho expert for manufacturing?

Small and mid-size plants that already run part of the business on Zoho, or plan to, and have nobody whose job is to make the system match the floor.

Job shops, make-to-stock lines, assemble-to-order builders and distributors that kit or finish goods all hire for the same reason: the office tools and the shop floor stopped agreeing. A full-time systems person is hard to justify at that size, so a named expert on a plan fills the gap.

Running a bigger ERP stack across warehouses and the ledger? An ERP consultant plan may suit you better.

  • Production lead“I walk the floor with a clipboard to find out where every job is.”Work orders
  • Sales“Quotes take two days because pricing lives in three spreadsheets.”Quotes
  • Purchasing“We ran out of a fastener that the system said we had.”BOMs and stock
  • Quality“A customer asked which lot went into their order. It took a day to answer.”Traceability
  • Owner“The person who set up our Zoho apps left, and nobody dares touch them.”Handover

Which Zoho apps cover your plant’s processes?

Choose the apps by process, not by department: a plant rarely needs more than a handful. Tap the processes you want your expert to own and see which apps do the work, and where the plan starts.

Processes to hand over

Your Zoho stack

Tap a process to begin

  • Zoho CRM

RFQs tracked as deals and quotes built from your price books.

  • Zoho Inventory

Items, assemblies, warehouses, batches and shipments.

  • Zoho Creator

A shop-floor app built around your own stations and forms.

  • Zoho Books

Invoices, vendor bills and a ledger that agrees with the stockroom.

  • Zoho Analytics

Boards that blend data from the other apps for the morning meeting.

03The shop-floor app, stop by stop

How does a paper traveller become a Zoho Creator app?

Your expert copies what operators already write down, rebuilds it as a Zoho Creator app linked to Zoho Inventory, and pilots it at one station before the rest. Five stops, usually in this order.

  1. 1

Photograph the paper as it is

The traveller, the inspection sheet and the whiteboard by the mill. Every box an operator fills in becomes a field on a list, including the ones nobody reads.

  2. 2

One work order form per job

Part number, revision and components come straight from the item and assembly in Zoho Inventory, so the office stops copying them onto paper.

  3. 3

    A screen for each station

Operators see only their own operations on a tablet, with big start, stop and scrap buttons. Scrap reasons come from a short pick list rather than handwriting.

  4. 4

    Inspection built into the flow

A pass or fail checklist with photos. A failed check opens a nonconformance record and holds the job until quality releases it.

  5. 5

The board for the morning meeting

Zoho Analytics shows jobs by station, late jobs and scrap by reason. The meeting starts from the same screen every day.

Big Creator builds with custom code may pull in a Zoho developer from the same team. More on the platform: Zoho Creator.

04What it costs

How much does a manufacturing Zoho expert cost?

From $300* a month when the plan covers one Zoho product, such as Zoho Inventory on its own. A plant using several apps gets a quoted plan sized to its stations, warehouses and integrations.

  • Monthly retainer

A named expert works a ranked list each month: new items, a changed routing, a report the plant manager wants.

  • Per-project

A defined build, like the first Creator shop-floor app, scoped once in a signed BRD at a fixed fee.

  • Dedicated team

Several plants or a long rebuild. The roles are chosen for the work and the mix is settled when you sign.

  • On-demand hours

Help for a new product launch, a second shift starting or an annual stock count.

05From the first call to the first station live

How do you start with a Zoho expert for your plant?

Six steps: a call, a proposal by email, the contract, your expert working within 2 to 3 working days, a first fix on the floor, then regular check-ins. Scroll and the pump on the skid gets built one part per step.

  3. Step 3Contract

Month to month, or a longer term

You choose the term. How to scale up, scale down or cancel is set out in the contract itself, so nothing depends on a phone call later.

  4. Step 4Within 2 to 3 working days

Your expert is in your Zoho apps

Admin access, a walk of the floor on video, and an export of your item master and assemblies to see how clean they really are.

  5. Step 5First fix

    Something changes on the floor

Often it is duplicate parts merged and BOMs corrected, or one station moved off paper. Small enough to ship quickly, visible enough that operators notice.

  6. Step 6Ongoing

Check-ins with production and the office

What shipped, which station is next, and what your team still owes. You re-rank the list together whenever a big order changes the priorities.

Planning a full rollout across several apps first? That runs on our new-project track, and moves off an old system run on the migration track.

06Seven plant jobs, scored honestly

Is Zoho enough for a plant, or do you need a dedicated MRP system?

For many small and mid-size plants, Zoho apps plus a Creator app cover quote to shipment well. Plants that schedule finite capacity across many machines, or plan materials through deep multi-level BOMs, usually need dedicated software. Seven jobs show where the line falls.

  1. Quoting and customer follow-up

Zoho stackZoho CRM is a full CRM: RFQs, quotes, price books and a pipeline sales actually works from.

Dedicated MRPQuoting is often a side screen, so sales keeps a separate CRM anyway.

  2. Finite capacity scheduling

Zoho stackA Creator app can show each station’s queue, but it is not a scheduling engine.

Dedicated MRPBuilt to load machines and shifts and reschedule when a job slips.

  3. Material planning across deep BOMs

Zoho stackAssemblies and reorder points in Zoho Inventory suit one or two levels well.

Dedicated MRPExplodes many levels and suggests what to make or buy, and when.

  4. Station screens shaped to your floor

Zoho stackThe Creator app uses your stations, your fields and your scrap reasons, and your expert changes it as the floor changes.

Dedicated MRPScreens follow the vendor’s layout; changes wait on their roadmap.

  5. Tracing a lot back to the order

Zoho stackZoho Inventory tracks batch and serial numbers through receipts and shipments.

Dedicated MRPLot tracking is a core feature in most systems of this kind.

  6. One record from quote to invoice

Zoho stackCRM, Inventory and Books are built to sync, so a won quote reaches the invoice without retyping.

Dedicated MRPUsually needs a connector to the CRM and sometimes to accounting.

  7. Who looks after it

Zoho stackYour named expert, on a plan you can scale.

Dedicated MRPThe vendor or its reseller, plus whoever knows it inside the plant.

If your answers land on the MRP side, we say so on the call. Zoho CRM and Zoho Books can still sit next to that system.

08Before you hire

Questions about hiring a Zoho expert for manufacturing

BOMs, work orders, MRP, cost and time zones. Bring a traveller to the call if you have one; it answers half of these on its own.

How much does it cost to hire a Zoho expert for manufacturing?

Plans start from $300 a month when the work covers one Zoho product, for example Zoho Inventory alone. A plant that wants CRM, Inventory and Creator looked after together gets a quoted plan. The hours, roles and response times are written into the proposal we email you, and Zoho bills its licenses separately.

Can Zoho handle bills of materials?

Yes, for most small and mid-size plants. In Zoho Inventory a BOM is set up as an assembly made of component items, and building it uses up the components from stock. Very deep multi-level BOMs with planning across many levels are where a dedicated MRP system starts to make more sense.

Can Zoho run work orders and shop-floor tracking?

Through Zoho Creator, yes. Your expert builds a work order app around your routing and stations, with a screen per station on a tablet, scrap reasons, inspection checklists and holds, linked to the items and assemblies in Zoho Inventory.

Should a plant use Zoho or a dedicated MRP or ERP system?

It depends on scheduling and planning depth. If you need finite capacity scheduling or material planning through many BOM levels, dedicated software usually fits better. If your pain is quoting, stock accuracy, travellers, quality records and invoicing, Zoho apps with an expert behind them often cover it well. We tell you which side you are on during the first call.

How quickly can a manufacturing Zoho expert start?

Your expert is working within 2 to 3 working days of the signed contract. The first days go on access, a walk of the floor and a look at how clean your item master and assemblies are.

Can you move us off spreadsheets or an older system?

Yes. Item lists, BOMs, customers and open orders move on our migration track, with a stopper date, sample sign-off before cutover and a validation report afterwards. The old system goes read-only once you confirm the move.

Will the expert run production or count our stock?

No. Your supervisors run the floor and your team counts the shelves. The expert designs the screens, rules and reports, trains the people who use them and fixes the system when the numbers and the floor disagree.

What hours does the expert work?

Our team covers US Pacific and CET hours, which suits plants that start early. The exact hours on your plan and our response times are set out in the proposal before you sign.

09Your first month

What does your expert do in the first month?

Four moves, in order: see the floor, clean the item data, take one station off paper, then set the check-in rhythm.

Almost all of it runs online for plants across the US, Canada and Latin America. Shops in the Los Angeles area can ask for an on-site floor walk with the team from Glendale.

  1. Floor walkVideo or on site, following one job from the receiving dock to the truck
  2. Item and BOM clean-upDuplicate parts merged, units fixed, revisions marked in Zoho Inventory
  3. One station off paperA pilot screen where operators feel the change first
