Shopify agency in Los Angeles for DTC brands, drops and wholesale

A drop that sells out is a good day. A drop that oversells, or quietly loses a showroom order, is a long week.

We work as a Shopify Partner from an office in Glendale, a short drive from Downtown LA. We build and replatform stores for Los Angeles apparel, beauty, food and merch brands, add wholesale and retail counters, and wire each order into Zoho for stock, books and buyer history. LA-area teams can meet us at our Glendale office or at theirs.

01The short answer

What does a Shopify agency in Los Angeles actually do for you?

It turns your products into a store that holds up on launch day, then keeps the boring parts honest: stock, taxes, wholesale orders and customer records. For LA brands that means a theme your team edits alone, a plan for drops and pop-ups, California privacy and tax settings done right, and orders that reach your back office without retyping.

02What we build

Eight jobs LA brands bring to our Shopify team

Most projects combine two or three. A Silver Lake candle maker might need a new store and Zoho Books; a Vernon apparel label, a replatform, a wholesale catalog and a counter for sample sales.

  • Build

    Theme stores your marketer runs

Product pages, lookbooks and collections built from sections, so swapping a campaign banner never waits on a developer. Online store design.

  • Launch

    Drop and limited-release setup

Scheduled publishing, per-customer limits, a password or waiting page and stock held back for each size before the clock hits ten.

  • Move

    Replatforming without losing search

Catalog, customers and order history brought over from WooCommerce or Magento, with every old URL pointed at its new home.

  • Wholesale

    B2B for showroom brands

Company accounts, buyer-specific price lists and net terms for the boutiques that order from your showroom. Shopify B2B setup.

  • Retail

    POS for stores and pop-ups

Card readers, staff roles and a pop-up kit for Melrose weekends or a market stall, sharing one stock count with the website. Shopify POS.

  • Cross-border

Selling to Canada, Mexico and Latin America

Shopify Markets with local currencies, duties shown at checkout and Spanish or French storefront copy. Shopify Markets.

  • Content

    Headless for story-led brands

When editorial, video and shoppable stories outgrow a theme, a Hydrogen front end keeps the content team free. Headless Shopify.

  • Back office

    Zoho behind the storefront

Stock, invoices, payouts and buyer history kept in Zoho’s inventory, accounting and CRM apps: the part most agencies hand off.

03Who we build for in LA

Which kind of Los Angeles brand are you?

Each of these businesses breaks a Shopify store in its own way. Pick a tag to see where it usually goes wrong and what we set up instead.

Apparel labels from the Fashion District to Vernon

Where it breaks: one style in six sizes and four washes becomes 24 variants, and a cut-and-sew run never matches the forecast.

What we set up: swatches from metafields, size guides on the product page, low-stock alerts per size, and production runs received into Zoho Inventory so the site shows only what is on the shelf.

      Where Zoho fits

Sample plan for planning only. Your real scope, dates and price come after the discovery call, in a BRD you sign.

      05The back office

Why do LA brands pair Shopify with Zoho?

Because the store is only the front counter. Once a brand sells online, at pop-ups and to boutiques, the stock-and-invoice spreadsheet gives up. Zoho takes that job, and because our Zoho Advanced Partner certification sits beside the Shopify one, one team owns both ends.

      • Zoho Inventory holds one stock pool for the website, the counter and wholesale, and receives each production run by size.

      • Zoho Books records sales, payouts, fees and refunds, with California sales tax kept separate for your CPA.

      • Zoho CRM shows reps what each boutique or repeat buyer ordered.

Field-by-field detail, returns included, lives in our Shopify to Zoho integration guide.

      06Selling from California

Which California settings does a Shopify store need?

Three come up on nearly every LA build: privacy consent, sales tax and, for some products, Proposition 65 warnings. We make the settings and records work. What your policies say, and which products need a warning, is for you and your lawyer to decide.

      1. CCPA and CPRA consent

Shopify’s customer privacy settings run the cookie banner and the data sale or sharing opt-out, honor Global Privacy Control and add a “Your Privacy Choices” link. We switch them on for California, test with GPC on and off, and check that tracking apps respect the choice.

      2. California sales tax

Rates in California change by city and district, so nobody should type them by hand. Shopify Tax works out the rate at checkout, and Zoho Books keeps the tax collected per order, ready for the filing your accountant does.

      3. Prop 65 warnings, where they apply

Once you decide a product needs a Proposition 65 warning, we store the text as a product field and show it on that product page, and only there.

Moving to Shopify from WooCommerce or Magento: what changes?

Less than you fear, more than an export button suggests. Drag each card to compare today with the same job on Shopify.

      Plugins and extensions

      On Shopify

Most jobs become built-in features or Shopify Flow rules, with a short app list for the rest.

      Today

Dozens of WooCommerce plugins or Magento extensions, each with its own update cycle.

      Hosting, patches and upgrades

      On Shopify

Hosting, security and checkout updates are Shopify’s job, not your developer’s weekend.

      Today

Server bills, PHP versions and Magento upgrade projects that keep getting pushed back.

      Search rankings and old links

      On Shopify

Rankings carry over when each old address gets a redirect, tested before the domain moves.

      08Your Shopify licence

Who pays Shopify, and which plan fits an LA brand?

You do, directly. The store and its plan sit in your own Shopify account, billed to your card, so you keep control if you ever change agencies.

      • Basic and Grow suit most new DTC brands; Grow adds staff accounts as a team forms.
      • Advanced starts to make sense when card fees on high monthly sales outweigh the bigger plan fee.
      • Shopify Plus is for brands with heavy drop traffic, several expansion stores or checkout changes.
      • POS Pro is billed per retail location; pop-ups can often run on the standard POS.

Apps from the Shopify App Store add their own monthly fees. Current US plan prices and card rates are on our Shopify pricing overview; we re-check them with your real order numbers first.

      10How a project starts

From the first call to a signed plan, in four steps

You pay nothing for the first call. A simple new store can often be scoped from it; a replatform with wholesale and Zoho might need paid scoping first, priced before it starts.

In the LA area? We can hold the store walkthrough at our Glendale office, your studio or your warehouse. Brands elsewhere do the same steps by video.

      11LA Shopify questions

Questions Los Angeles brands ask a Shopify agency

Short answers on meetings, drops, California rules, wholesale and Zoho. Anything else, ask us on the first call.

Is your Shopify agency actually based in Los Angeles?

Yes. We are a Shopify Partner working from 237 N Central Ave, Ste A, Glendale, CA 91203, in the Los Angeles area. Our team builds and replatforms stores, sets up wholesale, POS and Markets, and connects stores to Zoho for LA brands and for clients in other US states, in Canada and across Latin America.

Can we meet your Shopify team in person?

Yes, if you are in the LA area. We can meet at our Glendale office, or at your studio, showroom or warehouse when seeing the stock room helps. Brands farther away get the same steps by video.

Can you get our store ready for a limited drop?

Yes. We hold stock back per size, schedule the product to publish at the drop time, set purchase limits and bot protection, plan a password or waiting page, and run test orders the week before. After the drop we reconcile sold units in Zoho Inventory and help clear refunds and exchanges.

Do you handle CCPA and CPRA on our Shopify store?

We set up and test the technical side: Shopify’s cookie banner and data sale or sharing opt-out for California, Global Privacy Control handling, the privacy choices link, and tracking apps that wait for consent. The wording of your privacy policy and any legal judgment stay with your lawyer.

How is California sales tax handled on Shopify?

Shopify Tax calculates the rate at checkout from the delivery address, which matters in California because rates differ by city and district. Zoho Books then keeps the tax collected on each order, so your accountant files from clean records.

We sell to boutiques from a showroom. Can Shopify run our wholesale too?

Yes. Shopify B2B gives each boutique a company account with its own catalog, price list and payment terms, beside your retail store. Adding Zoho CRM lets reps follow every boutique’s orders, and Zoho Books tracks net-terms invoices and overdue balances.

How much does a Shopify project with an LA agency cost?

It depends on the catalog, the design, the data that moves and the integrations. We agree the scope with you, then write one fixed price and the delivery dates into a signed BRD before work starts. Only the first discovery call is on us; larger builds sometimes begin with scoping, which is paid.

Do you also help with Zoho for our Los Angeles business?

Yes. We are a certified Zoho Advanced Partner as well as a Shopify Partner, so the same team links your store to the Zoho apps that run stock, accounting and buyer records. For Zoho work beyond the store, see our Zoho partner page for Los Angeles.
