Zoho partner for Denver · led from Glendale, CA
Denver teams, from ski-season hiring to dealer orders, on one Zoho setup
Built for Front Range companies whose year has a rush, a lull and a lot of paperwork in between.
Many Denver firms run winter hiring in one app, wholesale orders in another and licence renewals on a wall calendar, then file sales tax with several cities on top. We move it onto Zoho, set for Mountain Time and Colorado rules, and keep supporting the system for the long run.

01In one paragraph
Should a Denver business run on Zoho?
Usually, yes, especially for Denver companies with a dozen to a few hundred staff and a year shaped by seasons. A gear brand, a solar installer or a mountain lodge group can run sales, stock, hiring and books in Zoho, and monthly billing lets seasonal users come and go.
Along the Front Range, businesses rarely look alike. Aerospace suppliers cluster around Centennial and Littleton, software firms fill the Denver Tech Center, consumer brands share old warehouses in RiNo, outdoor companies grow in Boulder, and I-70 mountain towns staff up each November. Most keep records in too many places.
Zoho is not a seed-to-sale system and does not stand in for Metrc at a cannabis licensee. Nor is it the place for export-controlled aerospace drawings. There we keep Zoho on the commercial side and leave regulated data where the rules put it.
- Time zone
- Mountain Time, one hour past Pacific in every month
- Main industries
- Aerospace and space, outdoor and recreation brands, renewables, licensed cannabis, tourism and ski resorts
- State rules to plan for
- Colorado’s flat income tax, home-rule city sales tax, the retail delivery fee, the Colorado Privacy Act, FAMLI premiums
- How we work with you
- Mostly video in Mountain Time with our LA team, plus site visits agreed project by project
02Five Front Range industries
Which Denver industries get the most out of Zoho?
In industries where contracts, licences, stock or seasonal staff decide the week. Each card hides the apps behind that work and our likely starting point.
03Colorado in the setup
Which Colorado rules shape a Zoho build?
Sales tax, above all. Colorado lets home-rule cities write and collect their own sales tax, so a Denver company selling across the metro may report to several cities as well as the state, and Zoho Books needs that structure before invoicing starts.
- 1 of 6
Flat income tax and Denver’s head tax
Colorado withholds one flat rate statewide, and Denver adds a monthly occupational privilege tax per worker, paid by both employer and employee.
We configureA work-location field per person in Zoho People, so payroll can see who works inside Denver city limits and owes the head tax.
- 2 of 6
Home-rule city sales tax
Denver, Aurora, Boulder and many other home-rule cities set their own sales tax rules and collect it separately from the state.
We configureSeparate state, RTD, county and city portions inside each Zoho Books tax group, with one report per city return.
- 3 of 6
Destination sourcing and the delivery fee
Sales are taxed where the buyer receives the goods, and many delivered retail orders also carry a state retail delivery fee.
We configureTax picked from the shipping address, plus a separate fee line on qualifying delivery orders in Zoho Books and Inventory.
- 4 of 6
Unemployment and FAMLI
Employers register for state unemployment insurance and pay premiums into FAMLI, the state paid family and medical leave program, shared with staff.
We configureAccount numbers and renewal dates on the company record, and a seasonal start and end date on each hire for clean reporting.
- 5 of 6
Colorado Privacy Act
Covered businesses must honor opt-outs from targeted ads, data sales and profiling, including universal opt-out signals, and need consent before using sensitive data.
We configureConsent fields that store the wording shown and the date, a global opt-out flag every campaign checks, and a request tracker with deadlines.
- 6 of 6
Licences, state and local
State boards license electricians and plumbers, while general contractor licences come from cities and counties such as Denver.
We configureLicence type, issuer and expiry on each technician or subcontractor, and a job rule that refuses an assignment once a licence lapses.
Read this as Zoho setup notes for Colorado, not as legal or tax counsel. Rules and rates change; your accountant and attorney decide, and we encode those decisions as Zoho settings.
04Three Denver builds
What could a Denver company run on Zoho in its first phase?
Three sample builds that match how work moves along the Front Range. Open one for its apps and its steps.

- Shifts by locationZoho Shifts builds weekly rosters per rental shop, front desk and shuttle, and staff swap shifts in the app.
- Season closesEnd dates and rehire ratings are saved, so next year starts from a list rather than a blank job post.

How do we work with Denver teams?
Denver projects run by video in Mountain Time, handled by our Los Angeles team, who fly out if training or a launch truly needs a room. Senior people join your first call and stay on to lead the build.
Glendale is our base, and we keep no Colorado address. One hour of difference is about as easy as remote work gets.
- Nearly the same clockA 9 am Denver stand-up is 8 am for us, and a question sent at 4 pm lands at 3 pm here. Outside those hours, we also cover CET.
- Opening workshop: one dealerFor a 30-person outdoor brand, the opening workshop follows a single dealer from preseason order to reorder: who quotes, where stock gets held and which city tax applies.
- Trips planned around your peakIf training needs a room, the trip goes into the BRD and avoids ski season or the summer install rush; there is no fixed visit calendar.
- Phones in mountain townsResort staff mostly work from a phone, so we keep mobile forms short.
06Old tools out
Coming to Zoho from another system?
Three moves fit Denver companies well: shared spreadsheets, QuickBooks once city sales tax piles up, and HubSpot at consumer brands that grew a wholesale arm. Each has a migration page.
- Out of spreadsheetsRehire lists, dealer price sheets and licence calendars often live in workbooks only one person understands. We turn each into a record with an owner.Spreadsheets to Zoho CRM →
- Off QuickBooksFiling with several home-rule cities makes a single company file crowded. Customers, items, open bills and the city tax setup move to Zoho Books in one cutover weekend.QuickBooks to Zoho Books →
- Past HubSpotTypical at direct-to-consumer brands that added dealer sales later. People, accounts, open deals and past emails move over, consent flags included.HubSpot to Zoho CRM →
07Zoho licences, our price
What would a Denver gear brand pay for Zoho?
Picture a 25-person outdoor brand with six people in sales and service, one recruiter for seasonal hiring and one warehouse. Zoho CRM, Inventory, Books and one Recruit seat come to about $257 a month on annual terms, with the bill coming from Zoho.
On CRM alone, yearly billing means $14 Standard, $23 Professional, $40 Enterprise or $52 Ultimate for each user every month; month-to-month plans run $20, $35, $50 and $65 instead. Monthly costs more per seat, yet a seasonal business can change its user count as the year turns. Zoho One on its all-employee plan is $37 per head, or $90 a user on the flexible plan, both yearly, and we compare it with single apps first.
What we charge is one fixed price, settled in a BRD you sign before building begins. Your discovery call is free. A group with several brands or resorts may first need paid scoping, priced and approved by you up front.
Monthly licence statement25-person gear brand · yearly billingSample
| App and plan | Unit | Monthly |

| Zoho Inventory Premium | $79 / org | $79 |
| Zoho CRM Professional × 6 | $23 / user | $138 |
| Zoho Books Standard | $15 / org | $15 |
| Zoho Recruit Standard × 1 | $25 / recruiter | $25 |

Licence prices only. Zoho People and Zoho Shifts for seasonal rosters are priced on their own if you add them.
08Four steps in
Where does a Denver project begin?
With your busiest week of last year. We choose one real order, hire or contract from that week and follow it from start to finish with you.
- Discovery callThirty minutes in Mountain Time on your season, your tools and the step that breaks first when volume jumps.
- Peak-week replayBy video, the people who did the work walk us through that one order, hire or contract.
- Signed BRDApps, home-rule city tax setup, the data we import, our fixed fee and each phase date, written down and signed.
- Live before the rushBuild and training are timed so go-live lands ahead of your next peak, never in the middle of it.
09Denver owners ask
Questions from Denver companies
Site visits, the time gap, city sales tax, privacy, cannabis records and seasonal seats. Your own question can wait for the call.
Can your team come on-site in Denver?
Yes, when it pays off. Day to day, our Glendale-led team works with Denver companies on video in Mountain Time. If a launch or training session clearly goes better in person, we fly in, and the BRD names that trip before anything is built.
Is the one-hour time difference a problem?
Hardly. Colorado and California move their clocks on the same dates, so Denver stays one hour ahead of Glendale all year and almost the whole working day overlaps. A 9 am meeting for you is 8 am for us.
Can Zoho Books handle Denver and other home-rule city sales tax?
Yes, with careful setup. We build tax groups that keep the state, RTD, county and special district portions apart from each home-rule city's own rate, so every city return can be filled from its own report. Rates and filing cities come from your CPA.
Which Colorado Privacy Act fields do we need in Zoho?
Mostly three things: consent fields that store the wording shown and the date, an opt-out flag every marketing list respects, and a log of consumer requests with their response deadlines. Your attorney decides whether the law covers you and how.
Can Zoho replace Metrc for a cannabis business?
No. Metrc remains the state's required tracking system for plants and product. Zoho handles the work around it, such as licence renewals, employee occupational licences, vendor files, testing documents and wholesale relationships with other licensees.
Can we add and remove seasonal users in Zoho?
Yes. Monthly billing lets you add users when the season opens and lower the count after it ends, while yearly plans cost less per user but only drop users at renewal. We model both on the discovery call so you can pick.
Which Denver tools can Zoho connect to?
Web stores, payroll providers, shipping carriers, resort booking systems and aerospace supplier portals are typical. We test each in discovery and commit only to links we have seen work.
What does a Zoho project cost a Denver company?
Licences are billed by Zoho at its official US prices, and the sample gear brand on this page lands near $257 monthly on annual terms. Our build fee is fixed in the BRD you sign; that opening call costs you nothing.
