Zoho partner for Phoenix · led from Glendale, CA

Phoenix home sales, solar installs and parts orders, run from one Zoho setup

For a Valley that grows by the subdivision, the rooftop and the supplier contract.

Around the Valley, builders track lots in a shared sheet, solar companies chase utility approvals by email and fab suppliers keep material certs in folders. We bring that work into Zoho, set up for Arizona TPT and Arizona time, and the same LA people who build it answer your questions after launch day.

01In brief

Is Zoho right for Phoenix businesses?

Usually, yes, when the company is growing faster than its paperwork. Phoenix has a deep bench of firms with a few dozen to a few hundred people that sell big-ticket things to households or to a few large plants, and Zoho handles that sale, the job behind it and the invoice at a licence cost they can carry.

The metro’s growth shows up in three places at once: new subdivisions pushing out toward Buckeye and Queen Creek, solar arrays going onto rooftops under APS and SRP rules, and a supplier base forming around the chip fabs in north Phoenix and Chandler. Add hospitals and I-10 warehouses, and the common problem is handoffs between sales, field and accounting.

Sometimes Zoho is the wrong tool. A supplier whose fab customer mandates a particular quality system may keep it and use Zoho only for quotes and orders, and better to hear that on day one than after a rebuild.

02Five Valley industries

Which Phoenix industries get the most from Zoho?

Any business where a signed sale becomes work with paperwork attached. Flip a card to see the apps we would pair with it and the first build.

03Arizona in the setup

How does Arizona law shape a Zoho build?

Mostly the tax side. Arizona swaps the familiar sales tax for TPT, lets employees choose their own withholding rate and licenses contractors through one state registrar, and each of those becomes a setting or a field.

  • 1 of 6

    One flat income tax rate

Wages are taxed at one flat state rate, and each employee picks a withholding rate on the Arizona Form A-4.

We configureZoho Payroll for Arizona withholding, the A-4 election saved on each employee, with a reminder for missing forms.

  • 2 of 6

    Transaction Privilege Tax

TPT is charged to the seller for the privilege of doing business here, and it is reported by business classification and location.

We configureZoho Books tax rates that join the state and city portions for each place you sell or work, labelled with the codes your CPA files.

  • 3 of 6

    City TPT and contracting

Cities add their own privilege tax, and contracting work has its own classifications, which builders and solar installers feel first.

We configureSeparate items for materials, labor and contract work, so one Zoho Books report shows each classification your accountant needs.

  • 4 of 6

Two payroll accounts and sick time

Arizona employers hold a DOR withholding number and a DES unemployment number, and state law grants staff earned paid sick time.

We configureThe DOR and DES numbers plus each year’s unemployment rate in Zoho Payroll, and sick time that accrues by hours worked.

  • 5 of 6

    No broad privacy act yet

Arizona has no California-style consumer privacy law, but its breach law requires notice when personal data is exposed.

We configureRole-based access to personal fields, an audit trail, and consent and opt-out fields for customers in states that do have a law.

  • 6 of 6

    Registrar of Contractors

The Arizona Registrar of Contractors licenses builders, electricians and solar installers by classification.

We configureLicence class and expiry on every company and subcontractor in Zoho CRM, checked before a crew is booked in Zoho FSM.

Treat this as a setup checklist, not legal or tax advice. Arizona TPT rules are detailed, so your CPA and attorney confirm how each one applies before we build the matching rates, fields and reports.

04Three Phoenix builds

Which Phoenix build would we start with?

One of these three, depending on whether you sell homes, install solar or ship parts. Each tab lists the apps and the five stages a record passes through.

New-home sales and closing board

Zoho CRMZoho Sign

Fits a builder with model homes in several Valley communities.

  1. Visitor registeredThe model-home host signs in each walk-in on a tablet and flags any co-op agent.
  2. Homesite heldThe sales counselor reserves a lot and plan, and the earnest money deposit is recorded on the deal.
  3. Contract signedThe purchase agreement and lot addenda go out through Zoho Sign and come back to the same record.
  4. Options lockedDesign studio choices and change orders carry cut-off dates tied to the construction stage.
  5. Escrow to keysTitle and escrow milestones, final walkthrough and closing date sit on one board for sales and construction.

Solar job tracker, lead to PTO

  1. Lead qualifiedThe homeowner uploads a power bill; the rep checks roof direction, shade and utility.
  2. Design and contractThe approved layout and signed agreement attach to the job before panels are ordered.
  3. Permits and HOACity permit and, where needed, homeowners association approval are tracked with their own due dates.
  4. Install and inspectionCrews are dispatched in Zoho FSM, with early start times in the hot months and photos from the roof.
  5. Permission to operateThe interconnection request and PTO date are logged, and the homeowner hears the day the system goes live.

  2. Material lot inHeat or lot numbers and the mill or supplier cert are attached when the material is received.
  3. Checks at each stationOperators log in-process inspections on a shop tablet.
  4. NonconformanceA failed check puts the lot on hold and opens a corrective action with an owner and a deadline.
  5. Ship with papersThe certificate of conformance and packing list print from the record and Zoho Inventory reduces stock.

05Glendale to the Valley

How do we work with Phoenix teams?

The LA team behind our Phoenix projects works over video, books meetings in Arizona hours and travels when a session truly needs everyone together. Senior people who will lead your build are on the first call.

Leadership sits in Glendale, and there is no Phoenix address. The flight over is short, so seeing a model home, a warehouse floor or a solar yard in person is simple to arrange.

  • A clock that moves twice a yearFrom March to November our clocks match; in winter you are an hour ahead. Our calendar handles the switch, and we answer support in both US Pacific and CET business hours.
  • Workshop one: a single rooftopFor a 30-person East Valley solar installer, the opening session follows one job from the power bill upload to the PTO letter and marks every spot where it waits.
  • On site when it earns the tripTraining sales staff across several model homes, or watching parts move through a shop, can justify a visit. Any trip is listed in the BRD instead of a fixed visit calendar.
  • Planned around the summer heatValley crews often start at dawn in summer, so field training happens early and we test the mobile apps where crews actually work.

07What you pay

How much would a Phoenix company pay for Zoho?

Picture a homebuilder selling in three communities with 10 people in sales and closings. Their licences for CRM, Sign and Books come to roughly $524 a month on annual terms, paid to Zoho itself.

Zoho CRM yearly pricing runs from $14 (Standard) through $23 (Professional) and $40 (Enterprise) to $52 (Ultimate) per user a month. Month-to-month billing: $20, $35, $50 or $65. A parts supplier might pair Creator with Zoho Inventory, from $29 a month per organization. If nearly everyone needs access, Zoho One is $37 a head on the all-employee plan or $90 per user under flexible billing, and we price both options side by side.

We quote our build as one fixed fee inside the BRD, signed before any work. The 30-minute discovery call is free. A builder with many communities may need a paid scoping phase first, with its price agreed before it starts.

Before tax. Only closing coordinators and managers send contracts, so Sign needs four seats.

08From call to launch

Where does a Phoenix project begin?

With a real record from your business. A recent home sale, a rooftop job or a customer PO tells us more than any wish list.

  1. Discovery callA video call in Arizona hours about what you sell, which tools hold it today and where it slows down.
  2. Record walk-throughWe follow that one sale or job through sales, field and accounting with the people who handle it.
  3. Signed BRDApps, TPT settings, records to migrate, the fixed fee and phase dates, agreed on paper.
  4. Phased buildReleased stage by stage, live deals and jobs imported, the old tool retired once staff are trained.

09Phoenix owners ask

Questions from Phoenix companies

The clock, TPT, utility approvals, visits and price. Anything missing? Raise it with us when we talk.

Will your team come to Phoenix in person?

Glendale is our base, so Phoenix work runs mostly over video in Arizona hours. The flight is short, and we come out for workshops or go-live when needed, with each trip set out in the BRD.

Why does the time difference between Phoenix and Glendale change?

Arizona stays on Mountain Standard Time all year, while California moves its clocks. From March to early November both cities read the same time; in winter Phoenix is one hour ahead.

Does Zoho Books support TPT for a Phoenix business?

Yes, with some setup. We create rates that combine the state and city TPT for each location you work in, split items by classification such as retail or contracting, and label them so returns come from one report. Rates are checked by your CPA before launch.

Arizona has no broad privacy law, so what should we still set up?

The state breach notice law applies, so we limit who can see personal fields and keep an audit trail. Selling into states with privacy laws? We add dated consent and opt-out fields, and your attorney decides what applies.

Can Zoho track APS and SRP interconnection for our solar jobs?

Yes. Each job carries its utility, the interconnection request, any document the utility asks for, and the PTO date, with reminders when a stage sits too long.

We supply the chip fabs. Can Zoho handle our quality records?

Zoho Creator can hold lot numbers, material certs, inspections and corrective actions linked to each customer PO and revision. If a customer requires a specific quality system, we connect to it or keep Zoho to quoting and orders.

What would Zoho cost a Phoenix homebuilder?

You pay Zoho its official US list prices; our sample of 10 CRM Enterprise users, four Zoho Sign seats and Zoho Books is about $524 monthly with annual billing. We charge one fixed fee, written into your signed BRD. That first discovery call costs you nothing.
